My name is Matt Fee, and I’ve lived in Rutherford County for over 20 years with my wife, Tiffany Fee. I’ve been a lifelong Democrat, but I became active in the local party in 2023 because I saw how many people in our community were being ignored by those in local government. Since then, I’ve worked with a variety of groups and advocated for local policies that would make a real difference in people’s lives. I joined the leadership of RCDP to help channel that passion into building a stronger, more representative local government that truly serves everyone in Rutherford County.

My name is Katrina Aguilar, and I am a recent MTSU alumnae. My first introduction to the RCDP was through an internship with a former Democratic state house candidate in 2022, and since then, I have continued to build connections and relationships inside the party. I grew up in different leadership positions, and I have a passion for social change. Therefore, the being an officer for the RCDP became the perfect fit for me. I love being able to represent such an amazing community, and I look forward to building more connections to ensure that all voices are heard and respected in our county.

My name is Dr. JR Marable & I am a registered Democrat in a predominantly Republican county. I chose to be a part of Democratic leadership because change is necessary & must happen but to also serve my community. In order to have a significant & meaningful impact, strategic endeavors must occur that help all in the community not just a select few. As 3rd Vice Chairman of this great party, we can get it done effectively, efficiently & professionally all while caring about the community that we serve.

I’m excited to join the Rutherford County Democratic Party as Third Vice Chair. I’m ready to create change in our community and turn some seats blue! I’ve spent my life advocating for working families, healthcare access, and equality, and I believe in a Rutherford County that works for everyone, no exceptions. From lobbying for the Affordable Care Act at age 20 while caring for my grandmother, to organizing in Iowa for a family-friendly economy, to running for office twice here in Rutherford County, my commitment has always been to uplift everyday people and fight for a fairer, more compassionate future. As a husband, father, and long-time community organizer, I’m proud to continue that work locally, helping to strengthen our party, empower new voices, and ensure that our community’s needs are truly represented.
-
I wanted to be an officer for the Democratic Party in Rutherford County because I believe in the power of community and the importance of building a strong, inclusive local presence that reflects our shared values. As a K–12 music teacher, I’ve spent years helping students find their voice and work together in harmony—skills that translate directly into grassroots organizing and civic engagement. I’m committed to uplifting underrepresented voices, fostering belonging, and helping more people feel seen, heard, and empowered. Serving as an officer allows me to actively contribute to meaningful change and help shape a more equitable future right here at home—because when we all play our part, democracy sings. I carry the spirit of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” into this work, believing deeply in the call to rise, unite, and be heard.

I first joined the Rutherford County Democratic Party at the 2023 reorganization meeting, attending with fellow members of the MTSU College Democrats, excited to vote for the future leadership of the party. It was there that I became part of the Executive Committee, and years later, I became the party secretary. I believe we cannot wait for others to create the justice we wish to see - we must show up and build that progress together.
