These are full-time positions that are voted on county-wide and hold office for 4-year terms.

  • County Mayor

    The County Mayor serves as the chief executive officer of the county government. They oversee daily operations, prepare the budget, and carry out policies set by the County Commission.

  • Trustee

    The Trustee is the county’s treasurer and tax collector. This office collects property taxes, manages county funds, and disburses money to pay county obligations.

  • Sheriff

    The Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer for the county. The office operates the jail, provides patrol and investigative services, and ensures courthouse security.

  • County Clerk

    The County Clerk manages a range of administrative services, including issuing vehicle titles and registrations, business licenses, marriage licenses, and maintaining County Commission records.

  • Circuit Court Clerk

    The Circuit Court Clerk keeps records for the Circuit and General Sessions Courts. This office files court documents, manages case dockets, and collects court fees and fines.

  • Register of Deeds

    The Register of Deeds records and maintains legal documents related to real estate, such as deeds, mortgages, liens, and plats, making them available for public inspection.
